Blood drives set for Gentry and Decatur

Main Street, Gentry; and from 2 to 5 p.m., Monday, Aug. 31, at the Decatur Medi Clinic, 346 N. Main Street, Decatur.
Huls completes Navy basic
Posted: August 26, 2009 8:36 p.m.Navy Seaman Recruit Chester C. Huls, son of Relda A. Cunningham of Siloam Springs, Ark. and Chester D. Huls of Colcord, Okla., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Hunter education offered
Posted: August 26, 2009 8:36 p.m.A hunter education course - required of all hunters born after Dec. 31, 1968 - will be offered at the Hobbs State Park Conservation Area Visitor's Center on Saturday, Aug. 29. The course begins at 8 a.m. and will last until 8 p.m. (Children under the age of 16 may hunt without the course as long as they are under the direct supervision of a licensed adult, age 21 or older.) Steve Dunlap, Education Coordinator for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, will present the class.
